Méplat is a low armchair, composed of a metallic structure and a semi-circular backrest.

The Méplat metal structure is the result of a lines exercice. The sitting part comes directly from the will to work with the rigor of geometric shapes. As a result Méplat gets a clean but rough character.

Méplat is paying tribute to 30’s furnitures, Bauhaus minimalism. In mechanical engineering a méplat is a flat surface on a cylindrical part.
